The World Research Hub Initiative (WRHI) at the Institute of Innovative Research (IIR), Tokyo Institute of Technology is soliciting applications for multiple fixed-term Principal Investigators (Adjunct Professor or Adjunct Associate Professor). WRHI seeks an established, collegial, and enthusiastic scientist or engineer to carry out original research work and contribute to the development of our institute and international network.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree, enthusiasm for world-leading research work, managing and promoting international exchange and international collaboration.

Treatment

Compensation depends on the rule of the University.

The annual salary system is applied. Higher level salary for the full or associate professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Bonus and retirement allowances are not provided. The following social insurance is covered for full-time employees:

• Medical and dental insurance called "Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Mutual Society of Health Insurance" ("Monbukagakusho Kyousai Kumiai" in Japanese)
• Employment Insurance ("Koyou Hoken")

• Curriculum vitae (with photograph, telephone number, email and mailing addresses) including academic background, professional career after high school, applicant's ResearcherID, and library-name of Google Scholar's profile.
• Summary of major research achievements to date (A4 paper; 2 pages or less).
• List of research achievements categorized into the following types: a) refereed original articles, b) reviews and commentaries, c) books, d) patents. All authors in the same order as each publication should be clarified. Five representative papers should be marked with the symbol of *.
• Reprints or copies of five significant papers.
• Explanation of the academic significance and importance of the five representative papers (A4 or letter size, up to two pages totally).
• List of awards received, invited or keynote lectures of international meetings and grants.
• List of acquired research and educational funds (fund name, project title, budget, and period of research or education project). Specify whether the applicant is the principal investigator or a co-investigator and the total and allotted budgets in the case of a co-investigat or for each fund. Social activity records including activities in academic societies, and the list of awards.
• Research plan after taking this position (A4 paper; 2 pages or less)
